I’m Lewis. For those who don’t know me, I am the biggest wine freak here in Birmingham. Much to my delight, we have just added some absolute bangers to our new wine list. This means tasting them – such a hard life!
I wanted to introduce you to the new additions to our wine list. These two are my personal favourites:
The first is our new house white, which is the el Zafiro Blanc – a 2017 Spanish wine. It’s light, refreshing, smooth, medium dry and citrusy.
The el Zafiro blanc is an excellent Spanish blend of Eva and Chardonnay grapes. Zafiro is a light refreshing white that is well suited to chicken (such as our Hail Caesar! salad), fish and veggie/vegan choices.
The amazing red that has me on cloud wine is the new Norte Sur Cabernet Sauvignon which again, is a 2017 Spanish wine. It’s long lasting, has plum notes, and is flavourful and full bodied.
Norte is the fourth addition to our reds by the glass, and has come onto the scene with a bang. This wine is a magnificent organic red which delivers a well-rounded rich plum flavour that would satisfy any casual red drinker. This wine pairs beautifully with any heavy meat dishes (especially beefy pizzas), as well as our Capreolus Charcuterie and Cheese sharing board.
Overall, we have a new and improved wine list with over seventeen excellent wines, two new bubblies and two fine ciders by the bottle.
Meet you at the bar? You know my order 😉
